The Toasted Ponies live at Bone Creek Museum

The third installment of the virtual concert series sponsored by Butler County Arts Council features Lincoln-based bluegrass band, The Toasted Ponies, performing selections of country, bluegrass, gospel and folk songs at Bone Creek Museum. Members of the Toasted Ponies include Jim Pipher (bass/vocals), Steve Hanson (banjo/vocals), Pam Barger (mandolin/vocals), Randy Barger (guitar/vocals) and Terry Keefe (fiddle). Support for all BCAC events is provided by the Nebraska Arts Council and Nebraska Cultural Endowment and in part by many local individual and corporate sponsors.
The Shucks Brothers live at Bone Creek Museum

In this second installment of the virtual concert series sponsored by Butler County Arts Council, The Shucks Brothers of Lincoln, Nebraska, perform a set of bluegrass classics, gospel tunes, and American standards at Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art. Members of the Shucks Brothers include Jim Pipher on bass/vocals, Steve Hanson on guitar/banjo/vocals, and Dave Miller on guitar/mandolin/vocals. Support for all BCAC events is provided by the Nebraska Arts Council and Nebraska Cultural Endowment and in part by many local individual and corporate sponsors.
The Lightning Bugs Concert at Bone Creek Museum

In lieu of the recently postponed concert which was scheduled for September 13, 2020, Butler County Arts Council and Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art invited the Lightning Bugs’ Jim Pipher, Reynold Peterson and Steve Hanson to perform a virtual concert of jazz and western standards as well as a few local favorite tunes. This performance is dedicated especially to the residents and staff at St. Joseph’s Villa and Court and David Place nursing homes, who frequently enjoy the free concerts sponsored by the Butler County Arts Council each season. This event was sponsored by the Nebraska Arts Council and Nebraska Cultural Endowment and in part by many local individual and corporate sponsors.
Annual Events
The Toasted ponies featured country and western numbers and gave the opportunity to sing along to residents and visitors at David place and St Joseph’s Villa and did a final set at Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art to celebrate Grandparent’s Sunday September 10, 2017 in what has become an annual visit by popular request. Future performances will feature The Toasted Ponies when COVID19 is no longer a threat.
